Partnerships for Family Safety program supports women to be empowered in their lives and helps them make connections in their community

Many families and partners are affected by violence or abuse from somebody they have been involved with, or somebody in their family. This can include physical violence, emotional abuse, social isolation, financial control and other behaviors that are harmful to physical and emotional wellbeing. The effects and impact of domestic violence and abuse can be diverse and lasting and can often be difficult to work through without support. The Partnerships for Family Safety program supports women to be empowered in their lives and helps them make connections in their community.

The program provides the following support:

  • Ongoing phone support
  • Information
  • Safety planning
  • Referral to appropriate women’s services for advocacy, case management and support
  • Referral to specialist counselling, including domestic violence and children’s counselling
  • Support with accessing victim services

The Partnerships for Family Safety program is funded by the Government of Western Australia Department of Communities and supported by Lotterywest.
