Community Breathing Space

Breathing Space is our residential Family and Domestic Violence men’s behaviour change program. It offers men who have been abusive in the past relationships with a community environment.


We provide support for these men in a secure and confidential therapeutic setting. During this time they undertake an intensive behavioural change program, through the completion of a range of group and individual counselling sessions to address their issues

Safe At Home Domestic Violence Outreach

 Though this a confidential program to help support men in making positive changes in their lives. The program offers specialist services for men in WA,who wish to break the cycle of violence and change the way they relate to partners, ex-partners and their children.


 Supported Transitional Accommodation

This program supports the perpetrator in their transition into and out of Communicare.

The Transition In provides a short settling and stabilising for perpetrators prior to entering the Breathing Space Community.

In the Transition Out of this community clients prepare to step back into the community whilst maintaining positive community participation

Partnerships for Family Safety

Communicare cares about those partners, ex- partners and other family members that have been impacted by the actions of individuals in Communicare’s Breathing Space and Families without Fear Domestic Violence programs.

Through this program we offer ongoing support, information and advice to support the victim through their healing.

Families without Fear

Families without Fear provides an opportunity for people to change and improve the way in which they interact with partners and families.

The group and individual counselling sessions we run encourages and assists individual’s to remove violence, control and/or abuse from their interactions and change the way their previously operated their relationships.

Tuart House

Tuart House provides accommodation for the women and women with children who have been affected by domestic violence perpetrators. This safe spaces aims empower women to rebuild their self-identity and restore confidence.

Tuart House strives to enhance the safety of women and children through crisis response, by providing emergency accommodation, the provision of case management and therapeutic support; such as, counselling and group work during their refuge.

 Indigenous Family Violence Program- Geraldton

This program is delivered at a culturally appropriate location within Geraldton. The program is run in intimate groups and covers topics surrounding violence with in relationships, equality in relationships, conflict resolution and indigenous spiritual healing.

Pathways to Responsible Living

 The Pathways to Responsible Living Program is a drug and alcohol program delivered within Greenough Regional Prison. It is held in a closed group setting, running for 10 weeks and 2 weeks of program reports. At the commencement of the program each group can have up to 12 participants

Same Sex Domestic Abuse Group

Communicare has worked to create awareness around domestic violence issues in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex community. The Same Sex Domestic Abuse Group aims to inform and educate the community of these issues, providing support for a safe community.
