Community Initiatives Project

Communicare Group Work Experience Projects, formally known as Work for the Dole, have been part of Communicare’s Community Initiatives for nearly a decade. The program aims to help Jobseekers get back into routine of work, develop basic work skills and create an environment that encourages team work, as well as social interaction.

Over the years, Communicare has developed strong professional relationships with several organisations through the Group Work Experience Projects so the activities of each project teach job seekers skills in construction, horticulture and administration skills amongst building self confidence and esteem. 

Currently, Communicare is working with the following organisations to further diversify our projects on offer:

Communicare Community Initiative and the Group Work Experience Projects have been moving forward quickly in recent times with current projects operating well and to capacity and with new additional projects on the horizon. Projects will soon be available to all Communicare clients who wish to broaden their skills or simply make good use of their time.
